This past Thursday, WUML, UMass Lowell’s student-run radio station that promotes local and underground artists, hosted its annual benefit show “Rock for Tots.” The event which benefits the biggest family shelter in the state of Massachusetts, House of Hope, featured a solid line-up that drew in a decent sized crowd.

The acts of the night included Soft Cactus, whose members are graduates of UMass Lowell, Boston based “progressive jazz metal” band GEPH, Berklee College of music alumnus Bent Knee and the biggest act of the night, Cloud Nothings. Attendees were given the chance to experience these acts in an intimate environment where the bands were able to interact with the crowd.
