The Pep Band, UMass Lowell Cheer, and UMass Lowell Dance and Urban Choreography all performed at the event. River Hawk Madness also included a knockout competition, a three-point shot contest and a dunk contest.
A student, Lee Guitierez, was chosen as the contestant for the half-court shot.
