Ice hockey forward Michael Louria will no longer skate for the River Hawks, according to a USCHO report.
Louria played 51 games in his two seasons at UMass Lowell and tallied 24 points. Most of his points come from his freshman campaign, though in the 2015-2016 season the River Hawks were 6-1-1 when Louria had a point. As a freshman, Louria was honored by Hockey East as a Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week. He also led the River Hawks with four game-winning goals.
Robert Morris University is located in Pennsylvania, Louria’s home state. As a River Hawk, Louria played the Colonials only once. He registered an assist in the Three Rivers Classic championship game, which resulted in a 5-3 loss for Lowell.
There has been no confirmation on this so far by UMass Lowell, though Robert Morris has reported the transfer on its athletics website.
Louria is eligible to play for Robert Morris University starting in the 2017-2018 season, due to NCAA transfer rules.
River Hawks lost a good one… This one is going to hurt..
Why??
We actually don’t know yet! We’ll add that in when we get confirmation, but for now we’re just as confused as everyone else.
