Season 3 of Invincible finally dropped last week on Amazon Prime Video, and fans are in for another wild ride. The show, based on Robert Kirkman’s comic series, has taken the superhero world by storm over the last couple of years and is taking things to the next level this season. Mark Grayson, aka Invincible, is back, dealing with the aftermath of the past two seasons while trying to figure out what kind of hero, and person he wants to be.

Right from the start, it’s clear Mark is stepping into a new phase of his superhero journey. He is no longer just trying to find his own way in the world as a superhero but now also plays the mentor role by training his half brother, Oliver, who is now developing superpowers of his own.

On top of that, he’s becoming more skeptical of Cecil Stedman and the Global Defense Agency. Cecil has always been a “the ends justify the means” kind of guy, but this season really puts Mark in situations where he must decide if he can truly trust the people he’s been working with.

One of the big threats of the season so far is Doc Seismic, who’s stepping up his villain game by capturing heroes, forcing Mark and Atom Eve to take him on. The action is just as brutal and intense as fans expect, but what makes Invincible stand out isn’t just the fights, it’s the emotional and moral weight behind them. Mark isn’t just throwing punches, he’s constantly questioning whether he’s fighting for the right cause, which adds a whole new layer to the already very thought provoking show.

And speaking of villains, there are some new ones coming to shake things up, such as Aaron Paul, who most notably plays Jesse Pinkman in Breaking Bad, is rumored to join the show as a major antagonist.

The voice cast continues to crush it as Steven Yeun nails Mark’s mix of strength and vulnerability and Sandra Oh gives us an emotionally grounded performance as Marks mom Debbie. She gives us an insight as to what an ordinary person would go through in a super powered world.

Animation-wise, the show remains top-tier. The fight scenes are crisp, the blood and destruction are visceral without feeling overdone, and the emotional moments hit just as hard as the action sequences. It’s clear that Amazon is putting serious effort into making this one of the best looking animated series out there.

So far, reactions have been overwhelmingly positive. Critics and fans alike love how the show continues to balance action, character development and moral dilemmas. It’s not just about watching superheroes punch each other, but about questioning what it means to be a hero.

If you thought Invincible couldn’t get any better, Season 3 proves you wrong. It’s got everything a superhero fan could ask for, insane fights, heartbreaking moments, deep character growth and twists that will leave you staring at your screen in shock. Whether you’re a longtime fan of the comics or just getting into the show, this season is an absolute must watch
