The Vans Warped Tour made its annual stop at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Mass., bringing with it more than 90 performers of various genres performing all day Tuesday.

Established and newly formed bands and artists alike performed 30-minute sets on 11 different stages throughout the venue.

Bands expected to draw large crowds included post-hardcore groups Pierce the Veil, Escape the Fate, and Senses Fail, pop-punk groups Neck Deep, Knuckle Puck, Four Year Strong, and the Wonder Years and metal quintet Black Veil Brides.

Connector editors Jen Desrosiers and Marlon Pitter highlight the best performances from the festival’s Mansfield stop below.

Senses Fail

New Jersey post-hardcore band Senses Fail rocked the Monster Energy Stage playing songs spanning nearly their entire discography Tuesday afternoon.

The five-man group, led by singer James “Buddy” Nielsen, energetically opened with “Canine” from their 2013 album “Renacer,” later following with”Can’t Be Saved” and “Calling All Cars” from their 2006 record “Still Searching” and “Buried a Lie” and “Bite to Break Skin” from their 2004 debut album “Let It Enfold You.”

Senses Fail also played “Take Refuge and “The Importance of the Moment of Death” from their newest album “Pull the Thorns From Your Heart,” which they released two weeks prior to the show on June 30.

Escape the Fate

Warped Tour veterans Escape the Fate made their fourth appearance on the tour and did not disappoint. The Las Vegas-based group, led by singer Craig Mabbitt, burst into the title track of their 2013 album “Ungrateful” after walking on stage to “Choose Your Fate.”

The band followed with hits “The Flood” and “Gorgeous Nightmare” and performed a new song titled “Just a Memory” for their upcoming album. Escape the Fate concluded their set with “This War is Ours” but did not play “One for the Money,” as they did on other tour dates.

The Kenneths

What appeared to a reincarnation of every 70s British punk band rolled into one, the Kenneths brought a classic style of punk rock with modern flair to the Hard Rock Kevin Says Stage.

The Kenneths played tracks from their 2015 EPs “It’s the Kenneths” and “E,” including “New Bad Habit,” “Ain’t Got No Game,” “What Happened to the Radio” and “K.E.N.N.E.T.H.S.”

With songs averaging about two minutes in length, the London trio were able to rattle off song after song and change the pace of the show without a missing a beat.

As It Is

One of the last bands to play, As It Is brought their transatlantic pop-punk presence to the Journeys Right Foot Stage in the Xfinity Center amphitheater Tuesday night.

The Brighton, England group performed songs from their 2015 debut album “Never Happy, Ever After.” Saving their best for last, As It Is concluded their set with their single “Dial Tones,”

Seaway

It did not rain for most of the day at the Mansfield Warped Tour stop, but when it did, it was fast and heavy like Canadian pop-punk band Seaway’s set on the Ernie Ball Stage.

The closers for the stage, the Oakville, Ontario group played songs including “Keep Your Stick on the Ice” and “Sabrina the Teenage Bitch.”
