Boston Bruins set their sights on the postseason

The NHL regular season ended on Sunday, and it couldn’t have come at a better time.

With the help of an unprecedented 12 game winning streak, the Boston Bruins will end the season in first place in the eastern conference. They are guaranteed a spot in the playoffs and are set to play against the fourth-place Detroit Redwings.

The playoffs will begin on Wednesday, April 16. Being in first place, the Bruins have a good chance at the Stanley Cup, but will face other contenders along the way, including the defending champions, the Chicago Blackhawks.

Other favorites include the Pittsburgh Penguins and the St. Louis Blues, who both had outstanding regular seasons.

Keep an eye on David Krejci, Jarome Iginla and Patrice Bergeron, who are the Bruins’ top three scorers. The Bruins will hope to carry some of the momentum from their winning ways into the postseason. . Tune in Wednesday night to see the start of playoff hockey.
